I am happy to announce that my painting for the Lawrence Public Library’s Banned Book Week has been accepted into the Society of Illustrators 57 competition. Thanks to all the judges in the institutional category for the big honor.
I am honored to have these images selected to be part of Luerzer's Archive 200 Best Illustrators Worldwide. Over 5,100 entries from 1,050 illustrators in 67 countries were submitted. Read more about it here.
If you are in Lawrence on Friday night, please stop by for the opening reception of the Vision of Lawrence juried exhibition at the library. This painting, called Blue Mothers No. 1 will be part of the show.
This illustration assignment was for the sports section of the New York Times. It's about looking forward to spring and playing baseball, which I love to do. You can read the story by David Vecsey here.
